In 2003, while founder and designer Judy Blank was living on the East Coast raising two children, she began designing jewelry as a hobby. To her delight, her designs were met with resounding praise. In 2019, Judy returned to her native home of Los Angeles with the objective of establishing herself through her passion for jewelry design as Judabud Jewelry.
The name itself, Judabud, holds special significance, as it was Judy’s childhood nickname. Today, the “bud” contains additional meaning; just as the bud of a flower blossoms into a thing of beauty, each design starts with a “bud” of wax that’s lovingly carved into a stunning creation. Each collection is inspired by legends from Hollywood’s Golden Age, combining the glamour of yesteryear with today’s more casual approach to fashion.
The company’s upcoming collection, Rae, is centered around the theme of the butterfly and its symbolism of growth and new beginnings.
